“Was the reason they started using necklaces to denote authority, because I’ve been wearing this? There’s no way that’s the case… Right?”
Randidly Ghosthound felt lost and alone even before the System transformed the Earth. Before every person had to deal with the sudden presence of Levels, Skills, monsters, and the very real possibility of death…
Due to unusual circumstances, Randidly starts in an isolated Dungeon far beyond his Level, forced to rely on the mysterious Traveler Shal in order to learn and survive with the dangerous new status quo for his world.
But survive he does, only to leave the Dungeon and discover that while he experienced several hellish months in the Dungeon, only half a day passed on Earth. Randidly’s capabilities are now more than enough to help build a small enclave of survivors, but that doesn’t mean balancing his sense of responsibility against the plots of an unfriendly town will be easy.
And although he doesn’t know it, he needs to prepare. Because the System has sent down a Tribulation, which waits in the shadows and monitors his every move…
The Legend of Randidly Ghosthound is the first book in a litRPG series and as usual “the system” is integrated into the world and everything goes to hell.
Our hero is transported to a dungeon that far exceeds the level which he can handle as a newly minted level zero and he is force to scrap and survive fighting to get back home.
When he finally get out 7 months later he realizes that only 5 hours has passed on earth. Randidly has an advantage over the other denizens of earth, having spent the last 7 months fighting tooth and nail elevating his abilities. Now he must work to help and protect those around him to give the world a fighting chance of pushing back the monsters that now infest the world.
Well, this book definitely has my favorite nature mage who also is an expert spearman and uses fire magic, because you know there are a ton of those running around. Also, what an amazing name. Haha Something about the fight and drive of humanity to not give up in the face of calamity is something I’ve always loved about litRPG books. I cruised through this one and I can’t wait to get into the next book in the series.
